Oil & Gas Project: IESA Adapts a Polymer Flood Module for SNF’s Site in Kazakhstan
A new industrial automation mission for a long-standing partner
As part of a new international Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project, IESA once again supports SNF, the global leader in water-soluble polymers, in adapting a Polymer Flood industrial unit for the Kazakhstan oil fields.
The challenge? Consolidating two existing containers into a single module, optimized for shipping, deployment, and on-site performance.
Tailoring an existing system to meet new technical constraints
In the demanding Oil & Gas industry, equipment reliability and adaptability are key. IESA’s teams carried out the following:
- Reconfigured the automation logic to match the new physical setup,
- Updated the control and monitoring programs for centralized operation,
- Maintained full technical performance despite the layout changes,
- Ensured readiness for a smooth commissioning phase on-site.

Polymer Flooding is a proven Enhanced Oil Recovery method that improves oil extraction efficiency while cutting CO₂ emissions by 3 to 6 times per barrel produced.
