Modernization of the Nîmes Waste-to-Energy Plant (WtE): IESA provides industrial electricity for a new flue gas treatment system

Modernisation Traitement fumées UVE

A new mission for IESA in the environmental sector

As part of the modernization of the Waste-to-Energy Plant (WtE) in Nîmes, managed by the SITOM Sud Gard, IESA has been selected by EVOLIA, a subsidiary of VEOLIA France, to provide industrial electricity services.

This key project is part of a global drive to optimize energy performance and improve flue gas treatment, two major challenges for today’s energy recovery facilities.

A mission to modernize the flue gas treatment at the Nîmes WtE in the service of the environment.

A mission focused on low-voltage power supply

IESA will provide its expertise in industrial electricity to support the replacement of the flue gas treatment process and the Turbo Alternator Group (GTA).

Our electrical services include

  • Modifying the low-voltage switchgear and secondary cabinets,
  • Addition of variable speed drives for fine-tuned energy management of equipment,
  • Installation of a remote control cabinet,
  • Electrical dismantling of the old smoke treatment system,
  • And the installation of the new, more efficient and environmentally-friendly system.

Environment and performance: shared challenges

This modernization project is part of a wider drive for energy transition driven by local authorities and industry in the sector. By reinforcing the electrical systems of Waste-to-Energy Plant (WtE), we are contributing to :

  • Improved energy efficiency of the facilities,
  • Smoother integration of new equipment,
  • Better compliance with environmental standards thanks to optimized flue gas treatment.

A project carried out in synergy with committed partners

We would like to thank EVOLIA, NALDEO and VEOLIA France for their confidence in this project. This collaboration illustrates our ability to work on large-scale projects in the field of energy recovery and waste treatment
