IESA contributes to the Rennes Metro extension: a ventilation and smoke extraction project in confined environments

As part of the Rennes Metro extension project, led by Trajectoires, IESA is taking part in the implementation of a new ventilation and smoke extraction system designed to meet the specific constraints of a confined underground environment.

Full project scope: control, command, and power systems for safety
IESA is responsible for the design and supply of the control-command and power system for the tunnel’s ventilation fans, covering the entire project scope:
- Engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning,
- Industrial automation: interface with the metro’s supervision system and the firefighters’ control room, full functional tests and smoke extraction trials,
- Electrical engineering: cable sizing, electrical cabinet design and manufacturing, schematics, and on-site installation.
