Development of a supervision application for polymer production

IESA strengthens its presence in the chemicals market with a new assignment for Michelin Engineered Polymers. Specializing in industrial automation, industrial electricity and industrial simulation, our team was chosen to develop a supervisory application for the polymer production reactor.

A customized solution for industrial control

This mission is part of a strategic project to modernize and secure production tools. The objective is clear: to supervise production reactor operations in real time, while ensuring a seamless interface with Michelin Engineered Polymers‘ information system (IS).

The application will be developed using Rockwell FT Optix, a modern, scalable industrial supervision platform.

Key features of the supervision application

As specialists in industrial automation, we have designed this supervision application to optimize production performance and traceability. The application will offer the following functionalities:

  • Production recipe management: customization of parameters according to the type of polymers manufactured.
  • Production order (PO) tracking: improved visibility on the progress of current batches.
  • Critical data archiving: retention of historical data for analysis and regulatory compliance.
  • Communication between machines and supervisory systems: seamless integration with existing IS.
  • Operator intervention logging: traceability of actions to secure processes.
